Happy, Spongey Kid

Isaac loves SpongeBob and what can I say, the yellow sponge is growing one me too. He's pretty funny! I was watching an episode a while back when SpongeBob wanted to be big and buff like his underwater squirrel friend Sandy (who wears a fish bowl on her head to breathe underwater--pretty smart gal). Sandy put him on a strict diet and work-out regiment. SpongeBob did not like the work-out and turned to a "quick fix"...blow-up arms. Sandy was impressed at his overnight body-builder physique. She entered him in a weight lifting contest which, of course, blew up (literally by his arms) in his face. I think the point of this episode is that if you want long-term results in your life and the lives of the ones you love, you have to work very hard. Being a mother can sometimes be a real struggle. It's NO EASY task and somedays are just down right TOUGH. However, I am reminded by SpongeBob and my own Isaac that life is a gift (or gift bag) and I need to relish in the fact that God will reward me one day for all my hard work. Praise Him, praise Him.
