A Family Affair

I have a new sister and her name is Laura Deaton. My brother-in-law John got married in a lovely ceremony at our church on Saturday afternoon. The festivities began on Friday with a bridal luncheon at Laura's parents' home. The photo above is from their garden. I feel like a big ol' frump next to these skinny minnies in the prime of their life =).

Miles found true love on Friday night. Avery Buser and Miles were smitten with each other the entire rehearsal. They are almost exactly one year apart.

Love in it's truest form (Miles sharing one of his favorite things--a yeast roll).

I am so proud of Isaac. He is my high-speed, high energy, highly excitable little guy. He's always happy and always ready for a day full of fun. When Laura asked him to be her ring bearer, I wondered if he would do it??? He was transformed on Friday night into a very mature, 4-year old boy who did exactly what he was supposed to do. He held that pillow and walked down the aisle perfectly. He did the same on Saturday--hooray for him!!!

Miles, on the other hand, decided to take on the roll of "wild man of the hour" and blew his performance in the rehearsal Friday night. We decided to nix him from the program. He took his pillow and immediately started whacking Isaac with it. In all honesty, I wish there were flower boys and pillow girls. My boys would've eaten up making a mess all the way down the aisle with flower petals. Who made that rule anyway???

My little ham in his tuxedo.

Karson and the Buser girls were the flower girls. I wish I had gotten Karson coming down the aisle, but I was so excited that Isaac did it, I totally forgot she was coming. What an air head!!! Here's my beauty--this is her 3rd wedding.

A few photos at the Blackburn's house.

A few good men (Seth and Ben are available--any takers out there?).

Miles absolute favorite song right now is Kool and the Gang's "Get Down On it". Seth put in a request at the reception. Here's Miles getting down on it. The weekend was awesome, and I am excited about Laura being a part of our family.

I love that black and white dress you were wearing. It looks like they had a beautiful wedding. Miles was cracking me up at the dance.
