Jackson's Orchard TAKE TWO

Me and four of the sweetest 2nd grade girls (Karson, MayKayla, Kaylee and Emma) went Jackson's Orchard today to celebrate Karson's 8th birthday. School was out of session today~what a treat!
These four gals were in class together last year and though this year they are separated, I'm thankful they've all remained such good friends.
I was excited when I found out Warren County was out on Karson's birthday which landed on a Friday of all days (the perfect combo). I called my fellow mothers and asked if I could borrow their girls for the morning. I figured Jackson's Orchard would be the perfect place to celebrate such a wonderful day!
They had fun racing down the slides and playing in the play area. I believe the highlight of the day was running around under the tent filled with hay bales. They were covered in hay and lovin' every minute of it.
We made our way over to the cornfield maze. The girls DID NOT want me to go in with them. I told them I wouldn't (but lied) and followed from way back behind. Little independent thangs think they don't need us =).

Honestly, these girls really didn't need me. They were so "grown up" acting the whole day.
Well, maybe not???
Before leaving Jackson's, we picked out pumpkins to take home and capped off the event with an apple slush.
I took the girls to McDonald's for lunch before taking them home. We sure had a great time and are thankful for sweet friends and trusting mommies =).
--------------
Karson got to celebrate her birthday with her classmates at school yesterday. I took in our favorite--GREAT AMERICAN DONUTS--yummo! Karson's class was so polite about everything. I had a couple of them offer to help me pass out things or pour drinks. Almost everyone of them said thank you and were appreciative. What a sweet group of boys and girls! I got Karson a dozen donut holes, got her teacher an apple fritter (I know how to butter those teacher's up), and got the class and assortment of chocolate and glazed donuts.

Can you tell I got them a little sugared up? Miles LOVED every minute of it. Thanks Ms. Pridemore for letting me invade your class and LOAD them up with sugar!
