A Cheesy 6th Birthday

My baby is 6, what in the world!

Miles celebrated number 6 on Wednesday.  I have been bringing birthday donuts to the kids since when Karson was in preschool at Greenwood Park.  Something about a donut just makes everyone happy =).  I took donuts to Miles's class on Wednesday.  Bowling Green's BEST donuts come from the Great American Donut Shop.  I ordered two dozen donuts, glazed and chocolate iced.  I mainly ordered chocolate iced, Miles (and my) personal favorite.  YUMMY!  The kids gobbled them up.

His class sang the cutest birthday song for him.  I thought I had recorded it but later learned I must've hit the button at the wrong time.  Boo.  SO, this is the only school picture I have from that day--him blowing out his candle.

Since Miles's birthday landed on Wednesday, I decided to have his party right after school at Chuck E. Cheese's (per his request).  I have to say Wednesday afternoon is about the DEADEST time in the world for a party at the Cheese's--my kind of party.  I believe we were the only people there most of the time.

Miles's buddy from preschool came to the party (pic at right).  It was a nice surprise for both of them now that they are kindergartners at different schools =(.  He and Layne picked up right where they left off--arm and arm--the best of friends.  Tana (Layne's mom) recently told me that Layne said he would never have a best friend like Miles.  I'm glad they were able to reconnect.

Everyone having fun playing games, spending tokens and wracking up on the tickets.

 Sweet lil' birthday crew!

Enjoying his cardboard pizza.  No one goes to Chuck E. Cheese's for the food.  However, I must admit their salad bar is wonderful and the Cherry Pepsi, delicious!

Presents, presents and more presents!

The ticket blaster is one of the new highlights at Chuck's.  Miles, however, had NO desire whatsoever to get in the blaster.  His sweet sister volunteered for him, and I am glad she did.  She snagged the 1,000 ticket coupon along with coupons for 100 and 50 tickets.  Way to go Karson!  Miles was able to get lots of LOOT from the goody counter at the end of the party.

Happy birthday to you!

Blowing out his candles and receiving his birthday medal!

Thanks to everyone who loves our boy and for making this such a special day for him!
He's one blest little guy!
