All mothers want a picture where all the kids are smiling (open eyes are a bonus too). Check!
We all want dead flowers in terra cotta pots. Check!
We want multi-colored bath salts made with steady hands. Check!
We want cards with brightly colored pictures and words of sentiment. Check!
We want school projects where our children have written all the things they like about us (I'd like to tell my Mom...that she is X-treme!). Check!
We want to be fussed over by our spouses who have to purchase gifts for us "from the kids".
My request, a facial from Regina Webb. Not only do I love getting facials there, I really like Regina Webb herself. She's an awesome person--her grandson goes to school with Karson too. Check!
We also need donuts on Mother's Day that will be housed in the muffin top that still hasn't disappeared post babies. Thanks Matt for the Sunday morning donut run. I'll never pass up a GAD chocolate iced donut. Check (x2)!
But truly, what most mother's my age want...is to see Justin Timberlake in concert in Nashville--got my tickets this morning. Actually, we just want a fun night out with girlfriends to help remind us that although we love and adore our children immensely, it's okay to be selfish and do something for yourself once in a while. Check Plus!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY BLOG READERS AND FRIENDS!
Clearly you are a dancing family!! Ha. And I told my kids that all I wanted for Mother's Day was a picture with all of them smiling! So true. I'm so excited you're coming down this way in the fall! We are activating the Disney passes Santa brought in September (Tate is too little now and the summer is too hot), so we'll have Disney passes then! We can meet up inside the park for fireworks or something. I put the dates on my calendar. So fun!
