October is exceptionally busy for us. And, before we put a stamp on the month, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to highlight our fall break which was the "perfect" beginning for our month of craziness.
Our break this year started off on a sad note. A dear friend of ours passed away suddenly - Grant Cline. You would be hard pressed to find someone from Bowling Green who didn't know Grant or know someone who knew him. He will certainly be missed. Grant's visitation and funeral were that Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. JC Kirby and Son said there were 100's of people at the visitation, and there were at least that many people at the funeral. Everyone loved Grant, and we are continuing to pray for and comfort his sweet wife Windy and their son Alex.
After the funeral, we raced home, got the car packed up and headed off to the beach. The trip went quickly, and we arrived at the condo around 9 that evening.
I got in the ocean every single day - it was my routine. The water was warm and the waves were fun. Miles spent lots of time in the waves too.
Loads of fun in the sun!

Every single day was spent on the beach and swimming in the ocean!
| Matt and I did some kayaking. |

Dinner at Fudpuckers and some alligator feeding. I have been to Destin a ton and have never eaten at Fudpuckers. It was awesome! We loved the food and atmosphere. Besides Isaac spilling his entire coke from the top floor onto the hostess stand down below, it was a pleasant evening!

The kids had fun playing on the church playground right up the road. Destin is family friendly!
We even managed to get a family photo - who needs coordinating outfits when we look THIS GOOD?!? I could write a whole lot more about the trip but the main things we did were eat, shop, sun, play cards, laugh, eat some more, played beach volleyball, hunted for sand dollars, fed alligators, ate some more, relaxed, swam, walked, played and had a blast!
