While I Wasn't Blogging...

these things happened...

(in order of importance with added hashtags for fun)
  • They put a Jimmy John's on Fairview Avenue which is wonderful AWFUL because it's super close to SKyPAC and my absolute favorite sandwich shop.  #broke #fastfood #gonnagetfatter
I also love reading all the fun facts they post around the store - this one (above) in particular.  Humph, no wonder I'm awful at proofreading.

  • Isaac, along with the other 5th graders at Plano, were "recognized" for an entire half-second at the 212 Academy Graduation.  I know WCPS has good intentions for the ceremony, but it would be nice if the 5th graders received more than a nod and pat on the back.  Heck, I would even take a small recognition certificate - something.  At least they will get to return next year and have something to look forward to. #5thgradewhat? #shortandsweet #hooligans
Karson and Isaac clowning around outside.

  • Celebrated Pap's 65th birthday.  This is my new favorite picture of Pap and his grandgirls.  #grandgirllove #65yearsyoung #finallysomegirls

  •  My talented friends Melissa DeVries took some pictures of the kids for me right before Mother's Day.  They are my favorite!  She's so talented and always takes the best shots.  I gave them as gifts to all the grandmother's and great-grandmother's.

  •  Plano celebrated Awards of Excellence on Monday for spring testing in 2015.  Our smarty pants Isaac scored Distinguished in Math and Language Mechanics and was a two points shy of a Distinguished in Reading, scoring a Proficient. We're proud of his achievements.  He's most proud of all his recent videos on Youtube (enter at your own risk).  #creativemiddlechild #toosmartforhisowngood #doingthedab

  • Karson had her last BRAVO tournament over the weekend in Louisville.  The 13 Nationals went out with a bang winning the last three tournaments they've participated in.  It's been an exciting season, lots of fun places to visit and some of the best families you'd ever meet.  We'll miss it! #volleyball #momtaxi #wearebroke
My cousin Kenton was a HIT at the tournament.  By the end of the morning, every single sibling from our team was sitting in our row joking around with him.  He is one of my favorite people on the planet!
