Double Digits for Baby Boy

Our baby is no longer a baby, waah, waah, Miles hit double digits today!  How is it even possible that all three of our kids are no longer little.  I totally agree with the ol' saying

Some days don't feel like quite as long, especially at 6 AM when all I want is for he day (or night) to be longer.  Today was special - Miles is officially 10 years old.  Now, normally the plan for the 10th birthday is for the coveted sleepover.  Miles and I had discussed this option week's back, and he was totally pumped about it.  However, he recently attended a classmate's sleepover where they stayed up until 5 AM.  He said is was awful and that he didn't want to do that.  I contained my inner excitement and told him that's fine.  I feel like I owe that mom a huge THANK YOU bouquet for her assistance.  We came up with an alternate plan, and one that Miles really liked.  We would invite a few school friends to Jump Air on a Sunday afternoon, then bring them back to our house for dinner and cake.  Perfect.  The plan was in motion, and he decided to invite a couple of his buddies from school.  I had to put a cap on the amount of kids because we only have so much room in the Highlander.

Anyone Else's children obsessed with bottle flipping?  Glad to know that other parents out there are going NUTS with this phase too.  I got all the boys drinks and immediately they got in a circle and started bottle flipping.  I think the workers got perturbed with them and eventually asked them to quit.  I thought...yeah, you couldn't live at my house for one day!  It's all my boys do. ALL.THE.TIME!

We left Jump Air a little after an hour and headed to the house for pizza and cake.  The boys had a great time, and Miles did too!  He sure has some sweet friends.

No Deaton birthday is complete without a cookie cake involved.

We've been lucky having our precious boy for the last 10 years.  He's super fun, super caring and a super person all around!
Happy 10th Baby BOY!
We celebrated his birthday meal at...wait for it...Wendy's, his favorite restaurant!
