A Whole Lotta June Going On

I almost let a whole month slip by without blogging.  June was full of excitement as usual!

Summer is the hardest for me because my sweet kids/teens are out of school, and I am at work all day =(.  I'm grateful Matt has the flexibility to be with them though but still has to work quite a bit.  It's especially busy with Karson's schedule of basketball and volleyball open gyms and tournaments.  She had three b-ball tournaments this month and a volleyball tournament at Lindsey Wilson.  I hate to wish time away, but it sure will be nice when she gets her license next spring.  There will be an extra driver in the house which will make things a little simpler.  We count our blessings for grandparents - not only for transporting the kids to and from things but for making sure they aren't trapped at the house every day.

(quick backtrack to May)
Me and some girlfriends watched the talented Haley Caffey rock the stage as Veronica in The Heathers at PTK.  It's hard to believe she's off to Loyola this Fall.  She sure will be missed by all her Mommas =)!

Haley and all of her Moms =)!
End of the year pool party with K's friends - it's become a yearly tradition.

Matt and I celebrated 19 years together - woo hoo!  Next year is the big 2-0!!
We got to attend a beautiful wedding at the Arling in Franklin, KY for Morgen Clayton and Stephen Stringer.  Morgen looked beautiful, and we got to hang out with some of our favorite friends at the event.

Happy, perfect, normal family - photo remake from our June trip to Disney for BETA last summer.

Our "wild" teenager!

Karson and her friend Keri celebrating Keri's #15 birthday at El Mazatlan.  K is fortunate to have such great friendships from both b-ball and v-ball.  Lots of great memories with all of these girls!

We got to celebrate graduation with Hannah Yonts, Karson's "Big Sis" for SWHS Volleyball and one of our favorite Seniors at South this month (at Lost River Cave).  Afterward, we went to opening night of Incredibles 2.

Isaac went to Lipscomb's Impact for the first time.  He was waffling with whether or not he wanted to go because it was a 4-day weekend away from home, but his buddy Gunnar convinced him it was super fun.  I'm so glad he did because he had the best time and can't wait to go again next summer.

Shannon treated him to a fun day at Holiday World with Evan after he got back from Impact.

Miles and Matt took home first place in the Father/Son tournament at Indian Hills Country Club for 10-12 year olds.  I know I'm partial, but I think Miles is the cutest golfer in the world.  He's pretty doggone good too.
