Christmas, Christmas Time is Near, Time for TOYS and Time for Cheer!

Yay!  Another Christmas is officially in the books.  Our trash is piled high and our stomachs ache from all the food (aka fudge and sweets). We kicked off the holiday (last Tuesday) at Opry Mills in Nashville.  It's become a family tradition and one that we look forward to each year.  Games at Dave and Busters, lunch at Macaroni Grill (we ate at Claim Jumper last year), shopping, and then an IMAX movie - this year's selection was Star Wars The Last Jedi.
Photobombing Santa!

Another Christmas tradition is playing the Escape Game with our buddies The Warder's.  We headed to Nashville again on Wednesday.  Our tradition has normally included PF Chang's, but we decided to do things a little different this year and tried out The Pharmacy Burger Parlor and Beer Garden. It was delicious and definitely worth making a trip back.  We had some time to kill so we found a local Starbuck's and relaxed before playing our game.  We successfully ESCAPED from the Nashville game room.  Hooray!  I think next year we may try out the new Mind Bender game in Bowling Green.  We've done almost all of the rooms at Escape, and the new place in BG look exciting.

Matt, Karson and I spent the next three days in Lexington for Lexington Catholic's Traditional Bank Classic.  The Lady Spartans came in 3rd place out of 40 teams.  We have a very talented group of girls - I'm hoping Karson can fill some of those big shoes in the future.  She sure looks cute on the bench and has gotten some pics in the local paper recently =).

The kids were spoiled as usual this Christmas.  Isaac's gift came early - he was wanting a new iPhone and Bluegrass was running some great specials on certain models. I was sort of hoping we could "surprise" him with the phone on Christmas. To activate the phone though, you have to have the SIM card which meant we couldn't buy the phone outright because they had to transfer everything on his current number.  SO, he got his gift a month early. Karson got clothes and some Birkenstocks.  Miles got some Playdoh, golf stuff, new markers, a dry erase board and Hot Wheels sets.  We're going to get him a new bike this spring.

Christmas Eve at Pops and Meme's

Memaw spent Christmas Eve at her house this year.  We went over to her house and sang The Twelve Days of Christmas and exchanged gifts.

Christmas Eve (evening) at the Warehouse with Matt's family.  We rocked out some karaoke.  Matt and I sang "I've Had the Time of My Life" and the boys sang "Living on a Prayer."

Christmas morning at our house 2017!
