Happy 17th Mr. Deaton

 Son, husband, dad, minister, teacher, golf coach ~ are a few of the titles Matt Deaton holds.  He's baptized many people, married lots of couples and done lots of funeral ceremonies - has and continues to spend his life as a servant.  And, I'm lucky enough to get to be married to him. I hit the jackpot!  He got the note below from a student this year, and it pretty much exemplifies the kind of teacher/leader he is. 

 Today we celebrate our 17th Anniversary and 20 years together.  It's hard to believe it's already been that long.  To quote Kip (from Napoleon Dynamite) I guess you could say things are gettin' pretty serious =).  I'm sure I drive him crazy 90% 100% of the time, but he's stuck with me and three little rug rats (who aren't so little anymore).  We share an anniversary with my grandparents who celebrate #68 today.

Whoa!  I'm hopeful he'll be able to put up with me for another 51 years.  CHEERS!
